I have been invovled with CYT since I was 8 years old. 15 years later, I'm still a part of the company. CYT has always felt like a home to me; a place of love and support where everyone was helping me become the best actor - and person - I could be. Francine’s favorite theater roles include Liat in “South Pacific” (Starlight & CCT), Eliza in “The King & I” (CCT), Liza in “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” (CCT) for which she received The Rose Award, Madame Doro in “Hans Christian Anderson” (JT) for which she received The Rose Award, Meadowlark in “Hans Christian Anderson” (CYT) for which she received The Sparkplug Award, Meg in “Little Women” (SCPA & JT), and “M’lynn in Steel Magnolias” (SCPA).

Francine has been a professional dance educator and choreographer since the age of 11. Now celebrating her 20th anniversary as an arts educator, Francine’s passion for mentoring young artists and giving them a voice through the art of movement continues. From Francine’s extensive training in multiple disciplines, she developed her signature, multi-faceted choreographic style, which seamlessly blends genres including ballet (Royal Academy of Dancing technique, en pointe, pas de deux), tap, jazz, Polynesian, contemporary, Broadway, flamenco, Irish Step, Indonesian, Hip Hop, Clogging, Ballroom, and Philippine Folk Dance forms. Francine’s critically acclaimed work has been performed internationally reaching venues such as The Lincoln Center, Royce Hall, the Seoul Olympic Stadium, and more.

At the age of eight, Francine was chosen to perform with the San Francisco Ballet. Under the private coaching of Theresa Maigue-Bendorf, Francine became the overall record holder as the 8-time Pacific Coast Talent Champion (with consecutive wins from 1992-1999). Jackie Jackson of the Jackson 5 selected Francine as the only soloist in his showcase, “Tomorrow’s Stars Today,” where her dancing was praised as, “Perfection!” by Gene Anthony Ray, Leroy of the original “FAME.” After graduating from Chula Vista High School for the Creative & Performing Arts, where she was awarded “Best Dancer,” Francine competed and won the title of Miss Philippines, for which she toured the US, London, and Paris.

Francine accepted a scholarship to UCLA's Department of World Arts & Cultures concentrating in Dance Studies. Within just a few weeks at UCLA, Francine was invited to perform with Mikhail Baryshnikov and the White Oak Dance Project. She represented the university and won at the prestigious American College Dance Festival, whose National Finals were held at The John F. Kennedy Center, Washington, D.C. Francine also founded The Outta WAC Dance Company, which performed at Downtown Disney, the House of Blues, and more. She developed The Neverland Youth Dance Project (NYDP), a college bound program for aspiring performers, who wish to pursue dance at the university level and beyond. Francine produced and directed a documentary entitled "Youth in Studio & Competitive Dance: No Small Act of Heroism.” For her contributions to UCLA and the greater Los Angeles community, Francine was honored as UCLA’s Homecoming Queen and received the Charles E. Young Humanitarian, Woman for Change, Chancellor’s Service, Outstanding Senior, and Distinguished Bruin Awards. Devoted to her academic as well as her artistic duties, Francine was on the Dean's List and member of eight honor societies including Mortar Board. By graduation, Francine had the honor of dancing alongside greats, such as Gregory Hines and Rennie Harris, had regular appearances as an expert on both ABC and ABC family, and served as the peer-elected Commencement Speaker.
Immediately after graduating, Francine accepted a personal invitation from Paramusic to choreograph the international concert tour of Euro-Grammy Awarded Sony BMG artist, Sweetbox. After touring Germany, Japan, and Korea, Francine returned as Artistic Director of San Diego’s #1 dance studio, Mystic Dance San Diego, where she has led performers to multiple National Champion titles, Emmy Award-winning productions, and internationally televised performances.

Francine is also a motivational speaker, journalist, and weekly columnist for San Diego’s award-winning newspaper, The Filipino Press.
