Incorrigible American boys are certainly nothing new. Mark Twain captured some of the excitement of boys running wild and free at a time in American history when the pranks were more innocent and running away could be a great, harmless adventure. Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn were two boys that knew how to cut up and have a good time in the late 1800′s. Imagine and relive some of the fun of a different era as this favorite story from America’s folklore is staged. This high-energy show is a crowd pleaser with such great music as “Gratifaction,” “All Together Now” and “We are the Boys.”

There are plenty of parts for everyone, so come and experience life in Hannibal, Missouri, along the Mississippi River where life in America was ﬁlled with adventure, suspense, and excitement. Some of the leading parts are Aunt Polly, Widow Douglas, the Liberty Girls, Becky Thatcher, Muff Potter, Injun Joe, and of course Tom and Huck.

A NOTE FROM YOUR AREA COORDINATOR:

Congratulations to all on the casting of CYT's Winter 2012 production of Tom Sawyer!!

Wow! What an amazing weekend we’ve had! I am so proud of each of you and can’t wait to begin this new adventure with all of you!

Thank you to each and every one of you for coming out to audition! The artistic team was so impressed and has thoroughly enjoyed working with you.

First rehearsal will be Friday, January 13th. It will be held at Green Valley Church. This is a full company rehearsal and will be from 4:30pm to 8:30pm.

Please be sure to send your kids with food and water. They will be eating as time allows, rather than at a specific time.

First Mandatory Parent Meeting will be held on Friday, Jan.13th at 6:30pm at Green Valley Church in the sanctuary. We have some very exciting information to share with all our families! At the end of the evening you will be meeting with your assigned committees. Please plan on attending this meeting; it is mandatory (this means you must come =D).

Additional information will be provided on the cast callboard located on your family user account. Please visit this site frequently. If a message is sent to you there will be a flag to indicate so. Please let me know if you have any questions.
