Aaron Corbeil

Aaron has been a part of CYT for many years as a Student, Teaching Artist and Artistic Team.  He is looking forward to teaching in this new Online platform.

Script Analysis: Peter and the Starcatcher 
   This class will explain the fundamental techniques of script analysis. Focus will be on understanding and interpreting methods used by industry professionals in acting, directing, and design, as well as critical and social analysis. In short, how to translate words into action!  This class will be Pre-Recorded and posted each week on Monday with Live Q&A's the following Monday at 12:30

Andrew Walters

Andrew has been teaching for CYT@school as well as MainStage classes for quite some time.  He's really looking forward to teaching you the power of knowing how to perform Monologues in a fun and "quirky" kind of way.

* Monologue(s) - The Back Bone of Acting
Description: A dive into the fundamentals of acting. When we break off a small sliver of a story and are expected to give it the heart and energy it deserves- a monologue. This class will be centered around how to approach a monologue and how an actor prepares - from memorization to full investment and intention. The student will be required to perform a monologue fully memorized and fully acted by the end of the 10 weeks. This is a 10 week, Pre-Recorded class with LIVE Q&A.

* Sing A Story, Tell A Song - Advanced Acting
Description: A deep understanding of storytelling techniques and text analysis. This class will be centered around character acting - what is it and what does that mean? This class requires the students to perform weekly. This is a LIVE 10 week course.

Anna Lettang

Anna is a Music Teacher and CYT Musical Director. After earning her Bachelor's of Music Education, Anna returned to CYT to teach MainStage classes and musically direct MainStage shows. She is excited to teach a virtual class to help students grow their music literacy skills.

* The Theory of Music
This is a 10 week, Pre-Recorded class with new lessons coming out every Monday.  LIVE Q&A will be offered each week on Thursday, 5:00 - 6:00 to discuss what you have learned as well as ask questions.

Amy Stine

Amy Stine is a CYT alum and enjoys teaching and choreographing for CYT. She is excited to be providing a live online tap class alongside her brother Paul Stine. 

*Intermediate/Advanced Tap 
This 1 hour live online tap class will consist of an intermediate/advanced warm-up, vocabulary, tap technique and choreography. Each time we meet we will be adding on new choreography to our previous class' combo and work toward learning a complete routine by the end of the three weeks. Come with a smile, water and a ready-to-learn attitude.

Becky Cherlin Baird

Becky has been involved in Professional Theater all of her life...and it started right here at CYT!  She has a heart for teaching students of ALL ages and loves to see their character grow on and off the stage.

* Mini Musicals
Join Becky as she teaches songs and choreography to some of your favorite songs!  This is a Pre-Recorded class with Lessons being added each week on Mondays.

Cara Filley

Cara Filley has grown up at CYT and is an incredible Teacher and Choreographer!  She is excited to offer pre-recorded dance techniques that you can watch over an over again to perfect!

Tap: Learning an Intermediate warm up to Hamilton's "My Shot".  This is a 5 week Pre-Recorded Lesson with videos being released on Mondays. (Part 1: March 30th, Part 2: April 6th, Part 3: April 13th, Part 4: April 20th, Part 5: April 27th)

* Jazz: This is a 5 week, Pre-Recorded Lesson with videos being released on Mondays.  It will include Warm Ups and is a beginners guide to Jazz

* Dance Callback Prep: Learn a new Combo each week for 5 weeks in this Pre-Recorded class to sharpen your Callback Skills

Emma Filley

Emma is finishing her Senior Year as a CYT Student.  She has been studying ASL (American Sign Language) and wants to teach how you too can connect to the Deaf Community through Musical Theater.

* Basics of American Sign Language: This is a Pre-Recorded, 3 week course with a LIVE Q&A on the 4th week.  It includes the 5 Parameters of ASL, The ABC's, Expressions, Acting in ASL and a song performed in ASL.

Emmanuel Young

Emmanuel has been teaching and Directing with CYT and we are excited to have him joining us online with Unique and Innovative courses.

* Re-Imagining Creativity: This 10 week course will be offered LIVE each week on Monday's from 6:00 - 7:00.  Each week will cover new content that is focused on Character.  It will be project based with writing prompts, art projects, collages, activities and MORE!

* Crafting the Sound: This is a 10 week Vocal Workshop course that will be offered LIVE each week on Tuesday's from 6:00 - 7:15.  Each week you will learn more and more about your voice as well as receive feedback.

Liz Norling

Liz has taught for many years and just recently joined the CYT family!  We are so excited to have her join us for our Online session!

* Beginning Puppetry
Learn how to create different puppets as well as skills to create stories and characters.  This is a 5 week Pre-Recorded Lesson with a few LIVE Q&A's where you can show Ms. Liz your puppets and showcase your skills.

Maria Saradpon

Maria is a CYT Wiggles teacher who loves sharing the magic and joy of theater to eager young learners! Have your little ones (ages 4-7) join her for one or both of these fun, weekly courses! New Pre-Recorded classes will post every Monday at 9am from March 30th through June 1st.

* Let's Go Play
Great course for the youngest of theatre lovers, especially if new to CYT. Let's Go Play teaches elements and skills of live theater in a fun and relatable way- through play! Join Ms. Maria each week with a greeting song, improv game, silly warm-up dance, learning choreography to a cheerful Raffi classic, and a playful character study activity.

* Disney Junior
Get movin' and groovin' with your favorite Disney Junior characters! Each class will provide an in-depth look at a Disney Junior show with a trivia game, choreography, and a craft or drawing tutorial. Featured shows include Vampirina, Puppy Dog Pals, Sophia the First, PJ Masks, Doc McStuffins, Sherif Callie, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and more!

Nancy Casey

Nancy has been involved with CCT/CYT since the beginning, in 1980. She teaches MainStage classes as well as music directing and accompanying MainStage shows. Her shows usually include a live orchestra which she conducts, most often from her keyboard bench.  She is excited to offer some classes to help students grow in their musical theater skills.

* Disney Magic (geared toward 6 - 8 year olds)
This will be a Pre-Recorded 10 week class. Each week she will teach 1-2 songs from a different Disney Classic, providing a piano track to use at home, for practice. Students can submit videos showing themselves performing a song, and Nancy will provide feedback and help for growing vocal skills for musical theater.

Audition Prep for Beginners and Intermediates
This Pre-Recorded video will provide guidance on many levels such as: choosing the right song for your voice and the show you are auditioning for, choosing the right key/range for your voice and choosing the right part of the song to do for a 1 minute audition.  Nancy will select  a song or two each week, to teach and present as options for your audition.  Students may submit videos for feedback and help.  A live Q&A will be offered, for students to ask specific questions about the audition and callback process. 

Nancy Ross

Nancy has been teaching for CYT MainStage and we are excited to have here join us as an Online Teaching Artist.

* Advanced Song Study (LIVE on Thursdays 6:00 - 7:00) This class is a 6 week corse. A chance for storytellers to dive in deep to two songs of their choosing. We will be building detailed characters; discussing, observing and exploring story arch, character intentions & tactics, the moment before the song begins. We will also explore the artistry of the melody line and lyrics, discovering how the voice and body can, with technique and sense of connection to self, become a very compelling storyteller! 

Advanced Tap: This is a 4 week Pre-Recorded course released on Monday's)

Paul Stine

Paul has worked as a Director, Choreographer, and Teaching Artist at CYT for the past eight years. He is excited to dive into some Tap techniques and teach brand new choreography, along with his sister Amy Stine!

Ryan Tafolla

Ryan has been a part of the CYT community for many years as a Student, Teacher, Improv Coach and Artistic Team member.  He has a love for music both in front of an audience and behind the scenes.  He is very excited to be teaching Online in both a Pre-Recorded and LIVE capacity.

Sergio Contreras

Sergio has grown up in CYT as a student, Teaching Artist and member of Artistic Teams.  He looks forward to getting to know more of you in this new Online Class platform!

* Fundamentals of Storytelling:Let's Break That Down
Join me in this 10 week class where we will discuss what makes up a story and utilize that knowledge toward your next performance! We will be examining multiple musicals over the session to gain more understanding and perform scenes from that show to put our skills to the test. Classes will be offered LIVE each week from 4:00-5:00pm on Wednesday.
 

Taylor Fox

Taylor grew up in CYT and now teaches for MainStage courses and CYT@school, as well as Musical Directs MainStage shows! She studied Military History and Vocal Performance in her Undergraduate Degree, holds a Master of Education in Curriculum Design, and is currently working on her Doctor of Education in Curriculum & Instruction. Taylor has a passion for all areas of theater and is ready to teach your students, VIRTUALLY!

* Introduction to Sight Singing & Music Theory: This is a 10 week Pre-Recorded course offered each week with a LIVE Q&A on Thursdays from 10:00 - 11:00am

Tyler Tafolla
