Class Description

Learn how to use your voice correctly and learn some of the techniques that will help you be a better vocalist. Every student will learn to sing together in a group as well as do some solo work. You will learn correct posture and breathing techniques, phrasing and how to stay on pitch, and put it all together as a triple threat in Musical Theater.

Skills to be covered include:
  • Learn to use the diaphragm
  • Learn the basics of voice control
  • Demonstrate proper posture
  • Know 6-8 vocal warm-up exercises
  • Learn breathing and breath control
  • Understand the importance of diction and articulation
The students of this class will be performing selections from Disney's Frozen for the showcase on March 12th AND a bonus showcase on the 13th!

Taylor Fox

Taylor Fox is a music and theater professional, working throughout San Diego County. She attended Anderson University for Vocal Performance and History, graduating with a Bachelor's in 2014. Taylor holds a Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction from Concordia University, and is currently working on her Doctor of Education in Curriculum Design at Liberty University. Taylor teaches for numerous theater companies and schools in San Diego, aside from her private students. She is an experienced live show Director and Musical Director- sometimes auditioning for shows herself! Taylor has a huge passion for music and a heart for teaching!
