Audition Info

Due to scheduling needs, our Audition process will run a little differently for this production. Though all of the elements of how auditions are held at CYT will remain the same, the order in which they take place will be a little different. (audition forms will be sent in Class Confirmation emails once registered for a Fall Class)

AUDITIONS Date: Saturday, August 22nd 9:00am - 2:00pm
CALLBACK Date: Sunday, August 23rd 2:00pm - 6:00pm

Audition Day will include your Slate, Song, Side and then the group of 10 will go into the dance room with an instructor to review the choreography (sent to auditioners prior to audition day) while the next group of 10 are completing the first part of their audition. Once the 2nd group of 10 are done, they will swap places. The 1st group of 10 will then perform their choreography for the Artistic Team while the 2nd group proceeds to review their choreography and so on.

Once Auditions are over, the Artistic Team will then proceed to determine who they need to see at Callbacks. Later on Saturday evening, by 7:00pm, those that receive a callback will be posted here on the Cast Hub. Audition #'s will be listed, no names.

Snacks & Merch

We will have snacks, hot food (microwavable instant ramen and things like that) and water bottles for sale and they are $1.00 each.

You can purchase a CYT Gift Card and put any amount on that card for your student to use.  We accept cash and cards.  You can add funds to an existing card at drop off for rehearsals. You can check your balance as needed with the provided link but there is no feature to add funds online at this time.

No Phone Zone

In an effort to keep students safe and to eliminate distraction, CYT is a no phone zone.  If you wish for your child to have a phone so they can get ahold of you if needed, students will be able to leave them with our Admin Leadership, in our No Phone Zone pouches and can come use it with adult supervision as needed.

Activities such as Board Games are provided by CYT in an effort to provide safe and engaging activities during any downtime.

Dress Code

Please abide to the following guidelines for CYT Programming. If a student arrives wearing clothes that do not align with our dress code, we will ask them to call home so parents can bring them a change of clothes.
  • Tops should fully cover the midriff when arms are raised and should not reveal cleavage. Shirts with violent graphics, cutoff styles, or spaghetti straps are not permitted. Undergarments should not be visible at any time.
  • Shorts should be a modest length. Short dance shorts are not allowed. Shirts should not extend longer than the length of the shorts.
  • Shoes should be comfortable and appropriate for dancing.
  • Dresses or skirts are welcome; however, please wear shorts underneath for choreography and movement.
Please be familiar with all of CYT's Safety Protocols.  These are for Staff, Volunteers and Students to follow.
