Description

ADULT DANCE: TOE TAPS👯 & JAZZ HANDS👐

Discover the joy of movement in a welcoming, supportive environment. This workshop offers adults of all experience levels an introduction to the fundamentals of dance through a combination of jazz and beginning tap (no tap shoes required). You’ll build strength, flexibility, coordination, and confidence while exploring rhythm, musicality, and basic technique. Whether you’re new to dancing or looking to reconnect with your passion, each session blends physical wellness with artistic expression. It’s also a great opportunity for anyone interested in auditioning for a future CCT show to gain experience and confidence in a low-pressure setting. Come move your body, sharpen your mind, and explore the art of dance at your own pace.
  • Tap shoes are not required
  • No Class on April 7th
  • A Showcase will be performed at the end of the last class day on May 5th

Angela Lowe

Angela (Nelson) Lowe has been part of the CYT community since the age of 7 and has performed in nearly 25 CYT and CCT productions. A lifelong lover of theater, Angela especially enjoys tap dance—though she has a passion for many styles—and is thrilled to share her love of movement with others. Outside the theater, Angela is a Continuing Lecturer and Research Specialist at UC San Diego, where she teaches courses in statistics and cognitive science and conducts research on human memory. She is deeply grateful for the inspiring community of kids and adults at CYT and is excited to step into the role of teaching artist.
