Alexander Ebalo

I began my formal dance training at the age of 16 in hip-hop/urban, contemporary, jazz, and musical theater. I currently dance with UCSD's urban dance team Ascension, while also performing at events with SeaWorld, such as the Sesame Street Parade.

Alison Bassett

Alison has been dancing since she was 3 years old and begin CYT at 10 years old. She continued to be in every CYT show and other youth and community productions until the age 18. She loves to dance and work with kids of all ages and is super excited to be teaching this season. Alison is currently on her way to graduate from Vanguard University this semester where she is majoring in Kinesiology and minoring in theater. She is super excited to be teaching and can't wait to get to know all of the wonderful students that participate in CYT!

Alyssa Salter

Alyssa Salter is an actor, playwright, and director with her MFA from East 15 Drama School in London, England. She also has her own theatre company, produces new works in San Diego, and is very passionate about people having the platform to share their story. “There’s always room for a story that can transport people to another place.” – J.K. Rowling

Andrew Shane Walters

Andrew has been a musician for more than half his life, predominantly as a guitar player yet also playing percussion, piano, and french horn at an early age. All of this music developed a strong affinity for songwriting. This passion lead Andrew into musical groups that did a great deal of non-union touring all over the states, Canada, and Europe. After consistently touring for six years Andrew decided to pursue another passion developed in high school, acting. In 2012, he began studying theatre and more recently graduated (2017) from UCSD with a B.A. in Theatre. Since graduation Andrew has began to develop himself as a local artist and theatre practitioner. He has been a part of several local theaters including: OnStage Playhouse, Coronado Playhouse, the Lyceum, and the OB Playhouse. He is now going on his third year with CYT and couldn't be more excited to teach and learn!

Anna Lettang

After growing up within the NCI CYT family, Anna Lettang is elated to have a chance to give back to the CYT community by teaching classes. Ms. Lettang recently graduated from Otterbein University with a Bachelors of Music Education, where she learned how to teach music classes of all kinds. She is passionate about helping adolescent singers navigate their changing voices and feels every person deserves the chance to learn how to sing.

Ashley Bassett

Ashley has been dancing since the age of three and has been in 50+ theatre productions. She was in CYT classes and shows from the ages of 8 to 18. Dancing has always been one of her many passions along with teaching, performing, reading, and swimming in the ocean. She has always loved the art of dancing and the expression that comes from it and hopes to share that love with others. She is currently studying Business at Vanguard University and hopes to one day own her own business as well as become a professional dancer in movies and on Dancing with the Stars.

Bethany Allen

I started working with CYT Temecula in 1990. It's pretty obvious that I love it! I tell everyone I work as a manager with Vons Company Inc. to pay the bills and I work with CYT to fill my heart. I grew up doing theater and show choir in school and I traveled with Celebration Singers during college. I married the love of my life, settled down in Temecula and had kids. Then God put CYT in my path, and I helped start Temecula CYT. I continued training in the theater arts; directing, script writing, acting, theatrical fencing, stage fight directing, makeup design, and Improv. CYT has helped to strengthen my relationship with Christ, and given me wings. It is my hope to be a light in the darkness and to love and encourage others, through Jesus Christ.

Caitlin Davey

Caitlin Davey has been a CYT kid since birth and couldn't feel more blessed to be a CYT teacher now! She has studied dance, acting, singing, improv, a little extra Improv, and a peppering of stage tech. She is so excited to share everything she's learned with her amazing students! Matthew 5:16

Casey Ryan

Hi! I’m Casey and I’m a CYT and CCT alumni! Some of my favorite years, I was also a CYT camp counselor! I’ve been dancing since I was 3 and I truly love dance...and I’m gonna help you love it too! My favorite dance style is tap, but, I also love hip hop and Jazzercise. We’re going to have a blast DANCING!

Cassidy Gage

Hi! My name is Cassidy. I have been involved with CYT now for 8 years. I have had a long history of dance, I started dance when I was 4 years old and grew up dancing competitively. I started as a student in CYT in 2010 and went on to choreograph my first show in 2017. I have also been in CCT's production of Traditions of Christmas as a kick line dancer since 2010. I am very excited to be back teaching for CYT!

Cassie Jungers

Hi! My name is Cassie. I have been teaching with CYT for over 4 years now and it has been the most rewarding experience! I have wanted to be a teacher since I was a young child, and seeing it come to life alongside one of my passions is a dream come true! I long to see kids grow and develop into who they were created to be. I believe theatre plays a huge part assisting kids in developing countless skills and strengths, amongst them are confidence, public speaking, and brain stimulation through memorization and communication. Danny LaPointe

Danny LaPointe is a CYT alum who is so excited to help teach the next generation of CYT kids. She has been involved in theater and dance since a very young age and can't wait to share her knowledge and skills with her students. She has several years experience as a dance teacher at Neishas Dance & Music Academy, Selah Groove Dance, and CYT. She is currently the Artistic Director of Sweetwater Kids Theater, and she has a Bachelors Degree of Eduction from San Diego Christian College. Let's get dancing!

Debra Webb

Hi! My name is Debra Webb and I am so excited to be teaching the Wiggles class! I am a retired elementary school teacher, where in my thirty years of experience, I have taught all grade levels from Kindergarten to 6th grade. It is my hope that my students’ love of the theater will grow tremendously as they continuously explore this wonderful world of CYT.

Elsa Sanchez

Elsa Sánchez is the Co-Chair for South County Hair and Makeup committee. She has done Makeup and Hair on over 1 5 shows. She loves teaching for CYT and looks forward to working with your awesome kids.

Emma Nossal

Hi! I'm Emma and I'll be teaching Tuesday's Beginning/Intermediate Tap class for the Spring session! I've been dancing since I was 3 years old, training in styles including tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, and hip-hop. I currently work as a professional musical theatre actress all across Southern California!

Faith Rhoads

With a passion for all things involving children, theater, and the Lord, Faith is thrilled to be a new member of the CYT Family! Having worked with children for over 7 years and pursued her love acting for over 4 years, she cannot wait to show your kids the love of the Lord through the amazing art of theater! Having once been a quiet introvert herself, she is so excited to introduce your kids to the exciting, loving family that theater is. Let the Adventure Begin!

Felicia Gutierrez

Franchesca Bondoc

Franchesca Bondoc has been dancing for over 10 years. She started training in competitive ballroom and won various competitions and scholarships. Later on in her dance career she attended San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts. There she intently studied ballet and modern techniques of renown dance legacies, such as Graham and Horton. She has also performed for different dance concerts and fundraisers, that helped the San Diego Community and even globally. Franchesca is eager to bring inspiration to all types of students, who have passionate hearts; ready to teach the beauty of dance and art, within their lives.

Gabriela Jentzsch

Janie Cox

Janie has been involved with CYT since birth! Performing since the age of 4 she has been involved with over 150 different productions, performing, directing, choreographing, or costuming. Janie studied musical theater at Boston Conservatory and has also done film with ABC, MTV, LXD and Invisible Children. Her true passion is for live theater and the “next” generation training in the ARTS! Janie’s daily goal in life is to love God and love people. Sing. Act. Dance. Live. Create. Play. Laugh. Love.

Jasmin Haddad

Jasmin Haddad has been teaching for CYT for two years now and has recently completed a dual degree program in Neuroscience and Theatre from the University of San Diego. She hopes to continue teaching theatre arts all over San Diego. She has also worked as an actor and as crew from multiple professional companies in San Diego and plans to continue along that path as well.

Jenianne Fortney

Jenianne is a native to San Diego. She began ballet, tap, and jazz classes when she was three years old. At the age of four, she performed her first ballet solo number “Beauty and the Beast” at the Del Mar Fair. Enjoying the cheers from the crowd, Jenianne was hooked on performing and has participated in numerous musicals, both professional and community theatre and has been a performer at Legoland, California. While she loved singing and acting, dancing was her real passion. During her sophomore year in high school, Jenianne began taking dance classes at Palomar College. While Tap was her favorite genre, Jenianne studied many other styles such as Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Break Dancing, Contemporary, Swing, Afro-Cuban, and Hawaiian. Jenianne has taught music and dance classes for CYT, Georgia’s School of Dance, and Dance FX. Jenianne also graduated college with multiple dance degrees, and a degree in Child Development. She currently works at a resort, leading children in activities during their stay!

Kendra Kertson

Mom, Wife, Dance Teacher and Pastor to College Students at SDSU. Dance, Music and Theater have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have been working as a dance teacher and choreographer for the past 15 years and have loved every second of it.

Kristina Sims

Hello! My name is Kyra! I have grown up performing on a stage, whether it was theater or competing in STOA forensics with my interpretation pieces! Some of my favorite roles I’ve had were Cat in the Hat in Seussical the musical, and Snow White in (you guessed it) Snow White!

Linda Wolfe

Linda has been teaching and directing for CYT since 1990. She studied Speech and Theatre at Grossmont College, performed with various community theatre groups, performed with Old Globe Theatre/USD MFA program, and trained and performed with San Diego Theatre Sports for 2 ½ years as well as directed their youth program. She has taught a wide variety of theatre classes in San Diego, written curriculum, directed summer camp programs with Christian Youth Theater, has had VAPA certification and training, and taught Improv at San Diego Christian College. She is married and has 3 children who all grew up doing CYT.

Lon Sierra

Lon Sierra, actor, producer, writer, director…and black belt in jiu jitsu.  As writer, he helped co-author the full length feature script Dark Redemption as well as the pilot script HR805. As producer, he has made several short films, all of which have been accepted into several film festivals. As an actor, he has solid improvisational skills (he studies as well as teaches), ample stage experience (he’s done countless live productions, including: Harvey, Our Town, Front Page, Little Shop of Horrors, The Doctor in Spite of Himself and Annie Get Your Gun) and plenty of time on set in front of the camera. Lon has had success in the commercial realm, working with such companies as Wendy’s, Chevy, Ram Trucks, Petco, HP, Sea World, Direct TV, Walgreens, WWE, and more. He’s also had the opportunity to play many wonderful film characters. Some of his favorites have been: a televangelist on the brink of madness, a world renowned physicist mourning his dead wife, a distraught ex-husband and dead beat dad turned to stalking, and a legally blind high school teacher bent on inspiring his students. Lon enjoys and excels in all aspects of film production, both in front of and behind the camera.

Melissa Farlow

Melissa is a theater and visual art teacher within Chula Vista Elementary School District. She is an Aztec for Life with her recent multiple subject teaching credential and Bachelor's degree in Communication from SDSU. During her time at SDSU, she was an active member of the community service organization Circle K, and the comedic improv team Iota Eta Pi. Melissa is also a member of Joke & Dagger, one of National Comedy Theater's house improv teams. She hopes to share a positive exciting theater experience with your child.

Nancy Casey

Nancy has been a part of CCT from the very beginning, playing the part of Mother Superior in the first Mt. Helix production of Sound of Music. She has music directed for CYT for over 20 years, and enjoys building live bands and conducting from the keyboard. She also teaches CYT classes, and has a special passion for the "Our Gang" kids. Nancy has been a music educator, from the classroom to private piano and audition coach. She enjoys leading worship, choirs and playing for various churches through the years. Her greatest joy is her family, husband, Craig and three adult children and an adorable grandson. Grateful to the Lord for her CYT family, she plans on joining in the fun till she no longer can see the notes on the page!

Nia Hilton

Hello!! My name is Nia Hilton and I am so very excited to continue working with CYT this year! I graduated from SDSU with a degree in Theatre Arts and English Literature in 2016 and have been involved in theatre since the age of 10 as an actor, stage manager, and lighting designer. I love working in the classroom as I strongly believe that theatre has the power to build skills in confidence, public speaking, analysis, memorization, and most importantly, it has the potential to empower students through their creativity and imagination! I am so honored to have the opportunity to work with this wonderful company and by extension, your lovely students! Rachel Mantuano

Rachel Mantuano grew up in Orange County, where she studied classical ballet for 15 years. Through her dance career she performed on both stage and street; being cast in multiple productions of The Nutcracker as well as a Disneyland Parade Dancer where she was featured as Belle. After attending UCSD to become an elementary school teacher, Rachel continued her love of dance by working for the Visual and Performing Arts Department of SDUSD. There she developed and implemented curriculum in both dance and theater for K-6th grade. When she's not teaching dance, Rachel enjoys spending time with her children, Noah & Keira. She is very thankful for the opportunity to work with CYT and share her love of the performing arts.

Raelene Herrera

Raelene is excited to be teaching with CYT, she has been involved with CYT South County on and off stage for many years. She holds a Bachelors degree from San Diego State University in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Children's Theater. She also revived her teaching credential in 2017 and now teaches Performing Arts at a public school in Chula Vista.

Ryanna Marsh

Ryanna is newer to CYT but already loving it! She grew up performing all over her small city home in central California and went on to study Musical Theatre in university where she discovered her love for Stage Management. She graduated with her BA in 2015 and went on to stage manage at SeaWorld San Antonio, TX. She is very excited to be back in her favorite state and thankful for the opportunity to teach with CYT so she can share her passion for the stage with kids of all ages!

Taylor Bassett

Taylor has over 50 commercial credits and has performed in television and professional theater over the past 11 years. He has trained and studied method acting under Carey Scott of the Rehearsal Room in San Diego and on-camera acting under Tom Logan. He is the father of six beautiful and talented children who have all been involved in CYT since 2006. He is excited to bring his experience and knowledge to students who desire to learn and excel in the art of acting.

Tony Powers

I am so excited to be teaching in South County again. I've been involved with CYT South County for 10+ years. Anytime I am a musical director or teacher, I can think of no better blessing than to share my musical theater expertise with the talented children I get to teach. I have been married Almost 30 years to my wife, Jill, and have four wonderful children. Between Emilie and Joshua, they have been in 35+ shows, so as you can see, I am entrenched in the CYT culture. Valerie Hobbs

Valerie Hobbs attended East Carolina University where she studied a BFA in dance and musical theatre with a concentration in modern and jazz dance. She has had the privilege of studying jazz under Jay Norman, an original movie cast member of West Side Story which means she had the honor of learning Jerome Robbins jazz techniques from someone who studied directly under Jerome Robbins. She has spent the last 20 plus years teaching master classes and competition dance at various studios all over the US. During college she worked for Eastern Cheerleading and Dance Association as a lead instructor and as a member of the curriculum staff. She is currently the Performing Arts Teacher for Scholarship Prep Charter School for ages TK through 8th grade. Valerie was selected and performed in the Hula Bowl in 1994 and 1995 and had the honor of great roles such as Erma in Anything Goes, Milly in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and Sandy in Grease. She also had the privilege of being the Co-Director of the Children’s Theatre at USCB and the choreographer for the USCB Theatre Company. When she is not sharing her passion for dance and theatre, Valerie enjoys playing softball, and spending time with her husband Mike, retired United States Marine Corps, and her twin daughters, Kaitlyn and Alison (Freshman at Cal State Fullerton) and her son Zach (Freshman at OCSA).
