Description:

You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown is one of Broadway’s biggest successes. Based on the characters of the Charles Schulz cartoon strip “Peanuts”, this enduring musical will capture your heart as well as your funny bone. If ever there was a musical that is as perfect for kids as it is for adults this is it. One comic strip scene after another provides non-stop music and laughter. The music is charming and challenging with such songs as “The Book Report on Peter Rabbit,” “The Baseball Game” and, of course, “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.”  Come be a part of the gang with the many chorus roles needed to fill a whole neighborhood of kids!

Characters:

Charlie Brown

The lovable underdog with endless optimism and frequent bad luck. Always trying, rarely winning, but never gives up.

Sally Brown

Charlie Brown’s younger sister. Sweet but sassy, with a dramatic flair and a massive crush on Linus.

Snoopy

Charlie Brown’s imaginative beagle. A comic genius who thinks he’s a World War I flying ace, a novelist, and sometimes a vulture.

Lucy Van Pelt

Bossy, bold, and full of unsolicited advice. She’s the self-appointed psychiatrist and known for pulling away footballs.

Linus Van Pelt

Lucy’s younger brother. Wise beyond his years, philosophical, and emotionally attached to his security blanket.

Schroeder

The Beethoven-obsessed pianist. Quiet and intense, focused entirely on music and completely oblivious to Lucy’s love.

Peppermint Patty

Tomboyish, bold, and sporty. She calls Charlie Brown “Chuck” and struggles academically but has a big heart.

Marcie

Peppermint Patty’s smart, polite, and glasses-wearing sidekick. She calls her “Sir” and has a secret crush on Charlie Brown.

Shermy

One of the original Peanuts characters. Stoic and low-key, often standing in the background or playing second fiddle.

Crybaby

A deep cut from early strips; known mainly as a punchline. The name says it all—excessively emotional.

Pig-Pen

The perpetually dirty boy who’s proud of his dust cloud. A walking dust storm with surprising dignity.

Patty

Not to be confused with Peppermint Patty. One of the original girls—bossy, traditional, and pre-Lucy in attitude.

Frieda

The girl with the “naturally curly hair.” Vain and prissy, she doesn’t understand why nobody else seems to care about her hair.

Red-headed Girl

Charlie Brown’s mysterious and silent crush. She never speaks, never notices him, and is rarely seen—but always adored.

Woodstocks

Snoopy’s tiny, loyal bird friends. Woodstock is the leader, chirping in unreadable lines, and often confused but always present.
